Cruising around the urban jungle

For the actual birthday bash, we ended up booking a dinner cruise on the Marina for the spoiled kid who definitely took us on word that we’ll pay everything for him on that day; I think someone is definitely regretting some shopping trip.

We were quite surprised to learn that the package we took, quite affordable, included a pick up and drop off from and to our place – ah the luxury of tour packages. As we sat at our table, a lady quickly came over and started pointing her blinding flash at us. The purpose probably was to get a picture of us before the heat basically made a mess out of it. And yes, I actually dressed up for the occasion, as much as my dressing up skills could allow me.

We went to the upper deck to watch another traditional Tanoura dance although it definitely wasn’t as impressive as the one in the desert from the day before. We enjoyed the view of the Marina at night, with the cousin pointing out to famous crazy buildings.

The food was surprisingly delicious – we’re radical sceptics when it comes to food – and the atmosphere fit for the occasion, even without cake. Now, my birthday better be good as this one, do ya hear people?
